The launch was also attended by the inspiration behind the book, IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and his dearest friend, the author of Twelfth Fail, Anurag Pathak.

In his second foray into writing, Anurag Pathak has beautifully documented the struggles and success of Manoj Sharma’s life. Using a poetic approach to prose, Pathak writes an empowering tale that urges its readers to stand strong in the face of failure and to live a life of passion, discipline and dedication.

Born in a small village named Bilagaon in the Joura tehsil of Morena district, Manoj Sharma was not the most academically driven student. He never cared much about his marks, rank or percentage in class. He barely passed his 10th board, getting third division and failed twelfth class. He is the living proof that school marks is not a parameter for success in life.

He is currently the additional commissioner of Police, Mumbai. His story is one that the world needs to hear. Anurag Pathak, one of Manoj Sharma’s dearest friends, documented the life story of Sharma is his beautifully written book, Twelfth Fail.
