Hunting enthusiasts may now join the Big Game Hero™ Competition and take a shot at winning $25,000 and a five-day bull elk hunt on the Vermejo Reserve in northern New Mexico — all in the name of conservation. The online competition is free to enter and is open to sportsmen and sportswomen who have their sights on this once-in-a-lifetime hunting experience. The prize package will go to the competitor who racks up enough votes through an online public voting system.
Registration is open at www.biggamehero.com for a limited time, with voting beginning in late November.
The Competition looks to spread the word about the positive effects of hunting, particularly, conservation. “That hunting is merely a sport is a common misconception. Many hunters participate to feed their families, connect with nature, and help control wildlife populations and maintain ecosystems,” says an executive with the Big Game Hero Competition. The 560,000-acre Vermejo Park Ranch is committed to restoring and safeguarding America’s wild places.
Big Game Hero, LLC will donate 75% of the net proceeds from this year’s Competition to Arizona Big Game Super Raffle (AZBGSR), a non-profit organization that raises funds for wildlife management and habitat work in Arizona.
Those interested in participating in the upcoming Competition can head to www.biggamehero.com to join.
