Texas Company Offers Free Hemp-Derived Delta-9 THC Gummies Amid Delta-8 Ban

Hometown Hero CBD, the veteran-supporting cannabusiness specializing in manufacturing hemp-derived THC and CBD products, is now offering first-time customers 21 and older complimentary samples of its Select Spectrum Gummies. Available on an ongoing basis, every sample pack contains two gummies, each containing 10mg of CBD and 10mg of hemp-derived Delta-9 THC.
The launch of this new sample pack comes on the heels of the Texas Department of State Health Services’ recent declaration that Delta-8 THC, in any concentration, is a Schedule I controlled substance. In response, Hometown Hero CBD filed for a temporary restraining order against the state. However, the court ultimately denied the request, causing the company and countless retailers across the state to halt the sale of Delta-8 products. Currently, Hometown Hero CBD is preparing for its application of a temporary injunction, which is set for November 5, 2021.
“No matter the quantity of cannabinoids, the Delta-9 THC concentration in our Select Spectrum products never exceeds the legal threshold of 0.3% on a dry weight basis, making them legal in all 50 states,” said Lewis Hamer, Vice President of Hometown Hero CBD. “While Delta-8 has been put on hold in the state of Texas, it is our hope that those who enjoy hemp-derived products for relief, relaxation, or whatever else can find what they are looking for in our Select Spectrum offerings.”
According to the company’s lawyers, Select Spectrum products are legal in all 50 states due to the following criteria:
