Tami Johnson’s new book, ‘Bucky, the New Kid on the Farm’, is a quirky picture book that encourages everyone to be compassionate with animals

Tami Johnson, a small business owner, an animal lover, a steadfast mother and grandmother, has completed her new book, “Bucky, the New Kid on the Farm”: a heartwarming short read about a young goat who woke up scared, in a truck headed for an animal auction. He was placed in a stall with a floor covered with straw, afraid and wary of his future, a lady with a purple bow reached in to pet him and whispered assurance. The auction started and now the young goat stood at the center of the ring, waiting for someone to buy him. Sold at the highest bidding for an animal that day, the young goat’s life changes forever upon seeing his new owner – the lady with a purple bow.
Johnson writes, “A young goat woke up one morning to find himself in the back of a truck. With him are several other goats. He heard one say that they are headed for market though he did not know what that meant. He did not think it is a place he wanted to go to.
“Shortly after arriving at the Sale Barn, he meets a human who tries to calm his fears and promises him everything is going to be okay.
“He soon discovers that she keeps her promises when she brings him and two other goats home with her to Bird Scratch Ranch. His new human also gives him something he has never had before.”
