Substance Abuse Treatment Scholarship

The Red Songbird Foundation’s co-chairs, Hilary Roberts and Jason Wahler, in partnership with Mark Williams and Brooks Butler of Gratitude Lodge in Newport Beach, CA, will provide a minimum 30-day residential treatment scholarship to an individual struggling with substance abuse so that person has the opportunity to live a wonderful life in recovery.
The new partnership and treatment scholarship was first announced at a private fundraising event in Corona Del Mar on March 5, with guests that included Audrina Patridge, Kaithlynn Carter, Brandon Lee, Justin Bobby, Frankie Delgado and other members of the Hills cast, and it was announced to the public today. The cast donated money to support The Red Songbird Foundation and their mission to help those less fortunate obtain the care they need for trauma, mental health, alcoholism and substance abuse.
Substance abuse and overdoses have increased during the pandemic, yet the cost of treatment, for most, is way beyond reach. The Red Songbird Foundation and Gratitude Lodge will give a residential treatment scholarship to one individual who is financially unable to afford treatment but has the willingness to take direction towards a better life.

The Red Songbird Foundation was founded in 2009 by Billboard-charting singer Hilary Roberts, who has been sober from drugs and alcohol since 1997. The non-profit organization celebrated its public launch in May 2019.
Shortly after, Hilary joined forces with “The Hills” star Jason Wahler with the goal of bringing the foundation to a broader audience. Jason has been active in the field of recovery since 2010. Together, they aim to help people heal from the darkness of their past.
By providing education, outreach, resources, and treatment scholarships, Hilary and Jason have made it their mission to raise awareness and save as many lives as possible through their work.
