Sports Flashes to organize India’s first sports film festival

In this Cricket crazy and Bollywood freak nation, the first Sports Film Festival is going to launch by Sports Flashes and it will be completely devoted to films based on Sports theme. Since India is a cricket crazy country and there is an amazing following of the shortest format of the game i.e. T20, so the theme for the festival is Cricket.

The prime goal is to promote the best quality in sports films; to stimulate, thanks to the mass media and the partnership with schools and universities, the interest in sport and cinema, fostering didactic-cultural meetings. The 1st SFFF will be held online from May 10, 2018 to May 26, 2018.

The registration is active between the April 7, 2018 and May 7, 2018. Within this date, productions have to fill the form online published in the SFFF official website (www.sportsflashes.com) or the Mobile App of the same name.

To upload the movie after registration, participants will have to send the film, by and no later than 7 May, 2018:

One copy of the film in HD or better quality subbed in English language
A 30 seconds trailer in HD or better quality subbed in English language
A synthesis (synopsis) of the film in English language

The winner of the Festival would be judged by eminent Jury consisting of Film makers & Sports personalities and will be awarded with prize money of INR 5.75 lakhs for the best films.

At the launch, Raman Raheja, the founder of Sports Flashes, said, “In our endeavor to promote the culture of Sports, we are happy to launch an initiative to inspire people to pick up any Sport and Films are the best way to do so. Sports Film Festival would be held around 25 cities to invite aspiring film makers to showcase their talent and inspire millions to pick Sports & the spirit of Sports as a way of life.”
