A team of bankers have shot to internet stardom after using their office as the set for a mini Star Wars spoof. The 10-minute parody, Overtime, sees two workmates brandish lightsabres and battle each other through a deserted office. The wacky spoof was created by movie-mad staff from the Barclays bank office, in Basingstoke, Hants, and cost them just £45 to make. At one point the duelling bankers meet a tall colleague who barks at them in the distinctive style of Chewbacca, Harrison Ford’s shaggy Wookiee sidekick in the original films. The battle between the two bankers – Barclays employees Alan Blake and Andy Gray – is eventually brought to a halt by their boss, played by Nick Rowntree. Decked out in a Darth Vader helmet, he tells them they need to stop fighting because it is disturbing him as he frantically works on financial reports. The brainchild of IT support worker Geoff Harmer, the parody has attracted more than 2000 hits on online video sites including YouTube and Facebook. Mr Harmer made the film for charity to raise awareness of his son’s disability, nystagmus – an uncontrollable movement of the eye.
