Matrix New World Engineering Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary

Matrix New World Engineering (Matrix) is 30 years old! Three decades since its founding, Matrix has built and continuously redefined itself to become one of the premier woman-owned (WBE) engineering firms in the nation. From humble beginnings in the tri-state area, Matrix has grown into an extended family of engineers and scientists from all over the country.

While many businesses have been disrupted or forced to close due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Matrix has continued to operate at nearly full capacity during its 30th year. Matrix is proud to say that we’re continuing our work on health and safety projects that ensure the safety of local communities, such as the decontamination of New York State colleges. Responding to emergencies like the Gulf Oil Spill, Superstorm Sandy and Hurricane Maria, or, Matrix is always on call to help cities and communities nationwide recover and rebuild stronger than before.

According to Jayne Warne, President, “Considering that our company started with just Dennis and myself and has grown to this size is extraordinary to me. We’ve built a diversified client base and expanded services far beyond our original conception. Our approach to work is light on bureaucracy, heavy on responsiveness, and wholly reliant upon the skills of our superlative employees.”

With more than 200 employees throughout the country, Matrix also prides itself on its adaptability and flexibility. The wide-ranging expertise within the company allows it to address everything from traditional engineering to oyster bay surveys to renewable energy. With industry-leading geologists, ecologists, scientists, engineers, landscape architects, planners, and surveyors, partnering with Matrix, our clients can rest assured they’re getting everything they expect, and much more.

In addition to this milestone anniversary, the company will be celebrating the long-awaited release of the documentary, ‘Heart of the Storm,’ that details Matrix’s heroic clean up after Superstorm Sandy desecrated the Jersey Shore in 2012.

No stranger to awards, the firm has garnered numerous accolades such as receiving SILVER, Female Entrepreneur of the Year, STEVIE Awards (2018), ranked in the Inc. 5000 (2014), named Best 50 Women in Business’ NJBIZ and Finalist, Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year ‘ both in (2011), “Business of the Year’ (2010), one of ‘New Jersey’s Finest Companies’ (2004) and Small Business Person of the Year’ (2002).
