International Advanced Healing Group to Sign Agreement with Medistar

International Advanced Healing Group, Ltd. (IAHG), the Singapore based wound healing technology group, along with its US-based subsidiary, Advanced Health Institute, Inc. (AHI) are pleased to announce that negotiations with Medistar, Inc., a subsidiary of Global Resources for Environmental Energy Needs, Inc. (GREEN), are nearing conclusion. According to the terms of the agreement, Medistar will offer International Advanced Healing Group’s core wound healing products throughout Mexico.

In Mexico, diabetes is one of the top two causes of death, alongside heart disease. According to the Mexican Diabetes Federation, the disease is responsible for the deaths of 70,000 people each year. It is estimated that more than 10 million Mexicans, almost a sixth of the adult population, is affected by diabetes, largely because of increasingly inactive lifestyles and poor eating habits. Mexico has the sixth highest incidence of diabetes cases in the world.

The high percentage of diabetes sufferers amongst the Mexican population are expected to benefit from International Advanced Healing Group’s proprietary pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) Formulary which has been developed to deliver a superior treatment that could drastically reduce the amount of time taken to address chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers, which are common in diabetes sufferers.

A spokesperson for International Advanced Healing Group said, “Our subsidiary has been engaged in negotiations with Medistar for some time now and, in recent days, consensus has been reached on the locations in which Medistar will be authorized to offer our wound healing products and we hope to be in a position to make a formal announcement very soon.”

It is envisioned that the deal with Medistar will build on Advanced Health Institute’s current market by extending the group’s PEMF care into a number of treatment facilities throughout Mexico.
