HQTS Group to Provide SASO Certification Services for Saudi Arabia

HQTS is excited to announce that the company is now able to provide SASO product conformity assessment services according to the requirements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
All businesses that trade with regulated commodities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must meet a series of technical regulations set by the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) before they are allowed entry into Saudi Arabia. The nation’s product conformity assessment program was implemented to ensure that products placed in the market are safe and of good quality.
Businesses must apply for the certification through the Saudi Product Safety Program (SALEEM) and choose a SASO- approved Certification Body to perform the necessary conformity assessment activities. All regulated commodities must be accompanied by a Product Certificate of Conformity issued by the Certification Body, along with a Shipment Certificate of Conformity for each consignment.
HQTS can now support its customers in adhering to Saudi Arabia’s stringent regulations and standards by issuing a Product Certificate of Conformity for regulated products from India, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, and many other markets. These product categories include construction and building materials, electrical and electronic equipment, textile products, footwear and more. Click here to view the entire list of products.
The new certification service comes in a period when HQTS has rapidly expanded its service portfolio. In addition to the SASO certification service, HQTS can provide conformity assessment activities and support businesses in the application process for the Saudi Quality Mark and Gulf Conformity Mark in selected regions.
The Saudi Quality Mark, issued by the SASO, is granted to factories that have an effective management system in place and continuously adhere to applicable technical regulations. Additionally, the Gulf Conformity Mark is a mandatory conformity mark for low-voltage electrical equipment and children’s toys sold in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
Having obtained these licenses, HQTS can offer a full range of conformity assessment services to businesses seeking access to the booming Saudi Arabian market. Companies who choose HQTS for their conformity assessment needs can take advantage of the company’s competitively priced services, industry-leading expertise, existing service portfolio and extensive global reach.
HQTS is one of Asia’s oldest and largest testing, inspection, and certification companies. The company has over 1,500 employees and a local presence in more than 20 countries. HQTS is involved in multiple other conformity assessment programs and has an experienced team to support its customers throughout the application process.
