Driver Pay Increase Announced at D.M. Bowman

D.M. Bowman, one of the top 200 carriers in the nation in transportation, warehousing and logistics, has recently announced the largest pay raise in the company’s history.
According to Brian Hall, CEO of D.M. Bowman, Inc., the company is focused on attracting and retaining the nation’s top drivers. “2020 brought a new set of challenges never before seen within our industry and never before seen with our own company,” said Hall. “Our drivers continued to carry through in the middle of a pandemic when other industries had the luxury of staying home and staying safe.”
Hall said that to accomplish D.M. Bowman’s goal of providing a high level of service to customers, the company knew it must offer a highly competitive wage to continue to stand above competitors as an employer of choice.
“I am excited to announce that we implemented the single largest base pay raise that our company has ever given in our 62 years of business,” Hall said. “All CDL positions saw a significant cent per mile increase effective March 28. You deserve it!”
On top of its new pay increase, D.M. Bowman will also be overhauling their bonus pay system. Drivers will be able to earn six additional cents per mile every week for being successful in the areas of: safety, customer service, and fuel efficiency. It is the company’s goal that the new bonus system will be much simpler to track for new drivers, and easier for experienced drivers to predict if they will achieve the earned bonus each week.
D. M. Bowman, Inc. was founded in Williamsport, Md., in 1959 and has facilities in Indianapolis, Ind.; York and Somerset, Pa.; Huntersville, N.C.; and Frederick and Williamsport, Md. They hire a variety of Class A CDL Drivers for local, regional, flatbed, and team positions in the eastern half of the country.
