Carolyn Cook’s New Book ‘Nobody Knows’ is a Stirring Family Story About the Joys and Complexities of Life and Raising Children

Carolyn Cook, an administrative assistant for a paper company for 23 years and now an owner of a landscaping business, has completed her new book, “Nobody Knows”: a brilliant narrative about a semiretired woman, Mimi, who finds herself raising two grandchildren that will make her days more eventful. This unexpected responsibility will soon turn out into something beautiful she’ll always remember.
Cook shares, “Mimi has finally made the adjustment to her new life with an empty nest. Both of her girls had left home and were living their own lives. Semiretirement was looking good UNTIL life threw her the mother of all curveballs, which in the end turned out to be her greatest blessings. She was faced with the responsibility of raising two grandchildren, both boys. The peaceful, serene life she had become accustomed to had suddenly come to a screeching halt. Not only did she move two young boys into her home, two uninvited guests showed up too. They became affectionately known as Nobody and Somebody. The funny thing was, the two were never seen by Mimi and Pop. Kolton and Karter and their imaginary friends gave the word chaos a whole new meaning.”
Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Carolyn Cook’s new book carries a memorable story of a life full of love, care, and affection as Mimi’s household turns livelier the moment her family grows bigger once again.
