Yehudith Freeman Tucker has completed her new book “The Three Wise Animals”: a moving tale of a Muslim camel, a Jewish goat and a Christian lamb who meet on the way to Jerusalem. Rather than dividing them, their prayers unify them and together they find common ground.
Author and Illustrator Yehudith Freeman Tucker grew up in Israel and started drawing in an apartment by the Mediterranean Sea from which she could hear the Muslim call to prayer, Church bells ringing in the distance, and the sound of people studying in Hebrew. She has long felt a calling to understand religion. Growing up in diverse company, she was taught to respect everyone. This lesson she passes on in “The Three Wise Animals”.
Published by Newman Springs Publishing, Yehudith’s book tells the story of three animals as they follow a star that guides them on their journey. The animals make stops together to pray at the Al Aqsa Mosque, the Western Wall of the Temple, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. The animals bond over their shared experiences and learn to appreciate one another’s cultures.
Readers who wish to experience this inspiring work can purchase “The Three Wise Animals” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
