j chatmon, an educator who wears many hats, including vocalist, writer, and yoga-enthusiast, has completed her new book “My Wish for You”: a precious children’s book that is aimed at encouraging parents to strengthen the connections with their child(ren) through conversation as they grow.
“My Wish for You” blossomed from daily conversations between the author, j chatmon, and her son that began when he first started to talk. Every morning upon his waking, she asked and still asks, “how did you sleep?” and “did you dream?” The responses were short and sweet in the beginning, but as his vocabulary grew, so did the imagery he shared. This small exchange provided a launch pad into conversations that had nothing to do with the proverbial to-do list but, helped nurture a safe space for sharing and invaluable memories.
Published by Newman Springs Publishing, j chatmon’s warm tale is a delightful way for parents to connect with their children. This story will spark dialogue between child(ren) and caretaker about thoughts and dreams, creating a deep bond and healthy environment for children to develop in.
Readers who wish to experience this inspired work can purchase “My Wish for You” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
