Author Brooke Whitfield’s new book ‘Reverse Truck’ is a picture book adventure about making the most of a silly situation

Brooke Whitfield, a nurse by trade, has completed her new book “Reverse Truck”: a backward story about a young boy who lived happily with his favorite blue pickup truck until one day it stopped working normally. Whitfield has always enjoyed writing, especially poems. She was inspired to write “Reverse Truck” after her nephew Garrett’s favorite blue pickup truck really got stuck in reverse. A twin herself, Whitfield lives with her husband and her own set of twins, who keep her busy.
Published by Newman Springs Publishing, Brook Whitfield’s whimsical tale follows a young boy as he makes the best of a weird situation, learning to drive with the pickup truck in reverse and even getting pretty good at it. He gets so good that when his cousin challenges him to an obstacle course in reverse, he’s more than happy to oblige.
Readers who wish to go along on this quirky adventure can purchase “Reverse Truck” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
