Annual Tennis Tournament – Optimal Virtual Employee

Since the start, Optimal Virtual Employee has always believed in giving their employees a fun-filled work environment. The employees at OVE get to participate in sports and other creative activities. They recently held their annual table tennis tournament at the start of November 2019.

Just like each year, the employees of all departments participated in this tournament that lasted between 5th and 9th Nov. The tournament had two divisions; singles and doubles. The winner for both the segments received a gift hamper, 2 movie tickets and bragging rights for the whole year.

The singles segment was won by Anjali Sharma a .Net developer who has been with Optimal Virtual Employee for the last 4 years. She defeated last year’s champion, Ravi Saxena a PHP developer who has been working with Optimal Virtual Employee for the last 3.5 years. The match ended with Anjali wining 2-1.

Anjali Sharma was ecstatic after defeating Ravi, as it was he who defeated her in the semi-finals last year. As a show of good sportsmanship, Anjali offered him some goodies from her winning hamper.

In the doubles segment; team Pythons defeated team Suns, as the name suggests the Pythons consisted of two Python developers Rajesh Kumar and Anthony Mathews. While the losing team “Suns” consisted of two Java developers Rahul Kundra and Prakash Singh. The members from the winning team both received a gift hamper, 2 movie tickets and of course the bragging rights for the whole year. Prakash says he is happy to win the hamper and movie tickets but it’s the bragging rights that he wanted most.

This year’s table tennis tournament came to an end with a pizza party for all the participants, and they are already waiting for next year to arrive.
