Amy Christensen Named President and Chief Operating Officer of Lap of Love

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice announces Amy Christensen will serve as the new President & Chief Operating Officer (COO). As an exceptional leader, she has worked with clinical and operational professionals to drive success across the U.S. and internationally. Her tremendous level of knowledge and professional expertise makes her a great fit to lead the charge of Lap of Love’s mission and values.
“Our leadership team felt that Amy was the ideal candidate for this role, as she brings a high level of business education and vast experience in the veterinary field along with other industries,” said Dr. Dani McVety, Founder and CEO of Lap of Love.
Christensen comes to Lap of Love with more than 25 years of operational and managerial experience. She held executive leadership positions with Results Physiotherapy and Mars Petcare, where she served more than seven years in the veterinary industry. Prior to Mars Petcare, Christensen held several senior leadership positions at Starbucks, including Director of Business Operations and as Chief Operating Officer of Starbucks Coffee South Korea. Most recently, she was the Vice President of Operations for 24 Hour Fitness.
“I am excited to join the Lap of Love team and be part of an organization that has such a positive impact on so many lives,” says Christensen. “The mission of the company and the people I’ve met so far reinforce the fact that this is truly a unique and inspiring team. I look forward to using my operational experience.”
